I’m so glad I asked Mr. Nara to take me diving at Phi Phi Island—it was a long-cherished dream of mine. He responded quickly to my booking request, which put me at ease right from the start. Since it was a one-on-one session, I was able to dive at my own pace, and he gave me precise guidance on the skills I struggled with. Even in the short time between my first and third dives, I feel like I’ve made a bit of progress. The large boat was also extremely comfortable, and the quality of the facilities and meals was particularly impressive compared to any other boats I’ve used both in Japan and abroad. He took plenty of photos for me, making it an unforgettable diving experience.

It had been a while since I’d gone diving, so I was a bit nervous, and I had a hard time deciding which shop to choose, but I’m so glad I went with Mr. Nara. He was very attentive even before I left for Phuket, and once on the boat, he patiently explained even the kinds of details you wouldn’t normally ask about elsewhere. When I actually got in the water, I got more scared than I’d imagined, but when he told me, “You’re overthinking it,” I was able to calm down. I still have some personal challenges to work on, like safety stops, so I’d like to try again. The support was very thorough, and it turned out to be a great refresher dive.

For two days, I was able to fully enjoy diving in tropical waters for the first time in a long while. While I usually tend to focus on searching for sea slugs and taking photos, this time I feel like I was able to simply take in the scenery and enjoy the sensation of floating underwater itself. I was also able to refresh my memory of neutral buoyancy in shallow waters. Even though I was traveling alone overseas, I didn’t feel anxious at all; the meals were delicious, and I really appreciated how they accommodated my allergies. They took lots of photos of me while I was diving, so I’d like to use them to improve my diving in the future.

It had been two years since I last went diving, so there were many things I’d forgotten, and I was a bit nervous about being in the ocean. Still, thanks to Mr. Nara’s thorough explanations and his support—all aimed at helping me “dive with confidence”—I was able to enjoy every dive, from the first to the third. I learned a lot, including breathing techniques I hadn’t known when I got my Open Water certification and even tips on how to look good in photos. The boat was clean, and all the staff were friendly. The warm breakfast, lunch, and snacks were delicious, and the feedback during breaks was very helpful.

It was my first time in Phuket, and I received two days of one-on-one instruction. It was also my first time doing three dives in a single day, but thanks to the comfortable boat and delicious meals, I wasn’t as tired as I expected. While the water clarity wasn’t always the best, I was amazed by the sheer number of fish that seemed to fill the entire area. I was able to see barracudas up close, and the instructor took plenty of photos of me surrounded by fish. Since he pointed out areas for improvement while we looked at the photos, I feel like I’ve improved a bit on my own.

Until now, I’d only done trial dives, and I’d always wanted to get my certification someday so I could explore deeper waters and places with more coral and fish. This time, I took on the challenge of getting my certification in Phuket, and thanks to Mr. Nara’s clear and engaging instruction, I was able to successfully earn it. For the open-water training, we went to Racha Yai Island, but since the water clarity and fish activity happened to be poor there, I asked if we could go to Phi Phi Island instead, and luckily, we were able to go. I got to see a variety of marine life, including sharks, turtles, and schools of fish, and the Blue Cave left a particularly lasting impression on me.

I visited Phuket so my son could get his diving certification. Although the waves were high and sea conditions weren’t ideal during the training, I’d like to thank you for giving my son the opportunity to experience the ocean in various ways despite the challenges. It had been over 20 years since my last visit to Phuket, and I was surprised to see how much it had changed since then. Since I was there anyway, I wanted to dive in the beautiful ocean, so I consulted with Mr. Nara and was able to go to Phi Phi Island. I was able to enjoy all the sights that Phi Phi Island is famous for—turtles, sharks, and schools of fish—all at once; it was the best dive ever.

This was my second dive, following the one last February. Last time was an advanced course, and this time was a recreational dive—and before I knew it, it turned out to be my 101st commemorative dive. I was able to enjoy the ocean, which was packed with highlights like sharks, sea turtles, pufferfish, coral, and barracuda. With more experience under my belt and my skills having improved since last time, I was able to rediscover the sheer joy of diving itself. I was also delighted that so many photos were taken of me.

It was my first time in Phuket, and since I wanted to try diving, I searched online and found this place. I’ve been diving for three years, but I still get nervous sometimes, so I was looking for a beginner-friendly option. The fact that it offered completely one-on-one instruction and the polite, attentive responses to my inquiries were the deciding factors. The food on the boat was delicious, and the seating and restrooms were spacious and comfortable. I was able to immediately put the advice I received while looking at photos from my first dive into practice on my next dive, and I think this will be useful going forward. It was my first time diving in Thailand. There were so many fish, and the colorful coral was beautiful—it was a truly wonderful ocean. The boat rocked a little, but they provided motion sickness medication, so I felt at ease. There was a wide variety of food, including breakfast, fruit, snacks, and lunch, and we could help ourselves to drinks as much as we wanted. It felt like such a luxury to enjoy a delicious meal after spending time in the ocean, then relax back on the boat. Since I usually film with my GoPro myself, I was especially happy to have someone take photos of me and my friends swimming with the fish. They even edited a video for us, which made for the best souvenir ever.

With a total of six dives over two days, it was a very fulfilling diving experience. It was my first time taking photos with an underwater camera, so I was a little nervous, but the pictures turned out better than I expected, and I discovered a whole new way to enjoy diving. Mr. Nara kindly taught me some tips for getting even more out of my dives, which was a huge help since I’d been away from diving for a while and had forgotten a lot of the basics. Best of all, my mother, who dived with me, had a great time without any problems. If I have the chance again, I’d definitely like to dive with you.

The water was clearer than I’d imagined, and I was able to see lots of fish. The water temperature was warm, and I enjoyed the kind of comfort you’d expect from a resort diving experience. The boat was well-equipped, and the staff provided excellent service. The meals were substantial, and I was surprised to find that we could even enjoy ice cream and coffee. The pre-trip instructions via LINE were thorough, so I was able to arrive on the day of the trip with no worries at all. They took lots of photos for us, and I had so much fun underwater—it felt like I was a model.

It had been 25 years since I got my C-card, but this dive was a lot of fun. The water temperature was warm, around 30°C, and while the visibility was a bit disappointing at times due to the weather, I was able to see plenty of tropical fish, including parrotfish. The boat was comfortable, and there was plenty of food, snacks, and drinks provided. As I completed the three dives, I gradually regained my old feel for it, and I was happy to experience that sensation of floating underwater once again. This experience has inspired me to go diving once or twice a year from now on.

I’d been wanting to go diving again for the first time in about six years—since 2019—so I searched for options in Phuket and found Green Diver. The fact that they limit themselves to one group per day gave me peace of mind, so I decided to book with them. The boat was large and comfortable, and the meals and snacks were both delicious and varied. They took lots of photos of me underwater and even edited them for me afterward, making it a wonderful memory. They were very thorough with equipment setup and technical advice, which gave me the confidence to keep diving.
