A Luxurious Island Tour: Visit Three Uninhabited Islands in a Single Day

Kai Island, located about a 15-minute speedboat ride from Phuket, is an archipelago consisting of three uninhabited islands: Kai Nui, Kai Nai, and Kai Nok.

It’s known for its beautiful white-sand beaches and crystal-clear waters, where you can see plenty of fish even in the shallows.

You can go snorkeling right from the beachThat's why we recommend it for families with young children.

Since this tour to Koh Kai had a shorter travel time than the one to Koh Phi Phi, I was able to join it without any hesitation. I was worried about getting seasick, so I brought motion sickness medication with me, but they also gave it out for free at the destination. I’d thought that a long tour to a remote island might be a bit tough, so this short, enjoyable itinerary was just right. I saw lots of fish while snorkeling, and it was a lot of fun. There were some spots with a slight current, so I think it’s safer to keep an eye on your surroundings while swimming. The guide provided great support—watching our belongings while we were in the water and even recording videos of us snorkeling. If I ever have the chance to visit Thailand again, I’d definitely book with them.

We took a tour of the three islands of Kai during our honeymoon. Since the local staff’s guidance was mainly in English and Chinese, it was a huge relief just to have someone there to provide support in Japanese. It was reassuring to have them watch our belongings while we swam, take lots of photos of the two of us, and stay close by even while we were snorkeling. They also told us about the unique features and must-see spots on each island, which helped us enjoy the tour even more. Our guide, Ai, was very easy to talk to, and the time we spent together became a wonderful memory. It was one of the most memorable experiences of our honeymoon!

Due to rough seas, the scheduled snorkeling from the boat was canceled, but since it was a decision made for safety reasons, I understood. Instead, we were able to take our time enjoying swimming and snorkeling in the shallows at another island. My son had a great time spotting lots of little fish. All the necessary snorkeling gear and life jackets were provided, and the trips between the islands weren’t too long. The guide gave us recommendations for meals and suggested comfortable spots to relax, and I felt at ease knowing he was watching our belongings while we swam. When I asked for restaurant recommendations after the tour ended, he kindly provided them—he was helpful right up until the very end.

Unfortunately, it was raining heavily, but they adjusted the schedule based on the weather, which allowed us to enjoy ourselves without any stress. It was reassuring to know they were able to respond flexibly to the situation.
